Sour days at the Lemonde Stand

Roseville Independence Day Parade -- July 4, 2009

Once again, Tommy shut down his lemonade stand, and we went to the Annual Roseville Parade. This parade is right out of Classic Americana, you know, the old America that Washington DC is trying to eliminate in the name of "Change."

Unlike last time, this year there's a difference. Many of these ordinary family people were carrying signs and Revolutionary War flags in addition to the modern 50-Star Flag. We didn't have one of these cool flags (we're going save up and buy one for the next event, fer shure!), but we did take our camera so we can see how our fellow citizens can legally and peacefully stand up against the Bullies.

Understand that this is a regular community event, but it's patriotic and traditional in nature. Most of the thousands in attendence don't sport TEA Party signs or shirts. But most of them are at heart TEA Party members, they're just unaware of it. Next year you can bet your sweet bippy they'll be many more signs and shirts.

Sac Tea Party

Tommy shut down his lemonade stand for a couple hours and we went the the Sacramento Tea Party.

Gee, this was fun, even though the Department of Homeland Security warned me about these people. All the dangerous right-wing radicals dressed up as normal people that you'd see at a county fair. Some of them even disguised themselves as kids and mothers. Even the ones who didn't dress up, you know, the Veterans, didn't scare me at all. They handed out free right-wing subversive material. I picked up an extra copy for the girls at the puppet show so they could work it into a show they're doing called "Where comrades fear to tread."

This nasty and dangerous book they gave me is titled, "The Constitution of the United States of America & The Constitution of the State of California." It explains their fascist dogma. It also contains the Magna Carta, the Mayflower Compact, The Declaration of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation. These are all highly subversive to big government, but oddly, it was printed by the California State Assembly, a group of rich guys who have long been considered a terrorist organization by many citizens in the State.

All-in-all, everyone had a great time. CNN and the White House will be greatly disappointed with its success. Here's just a few of the signs and pictures of the radicals dressed up as peaceful citizens.
